I just returned from visiting my dad in Puntearenas, Costa Rica (1st 2 weeks of Jan.) While it was freezing cold in Houston, it is a hot time of year in Puntearenas.

Every morning we had the most amazing fruit. The pineapple is unbelievable! Of course it is picked ripe there and that is the trick. The pineapple I get here in Texas is not picked ripe and so it burns my lips and mouth after a few bites. But oh the pineapple in Costa Rica – its so sweet and smooth and juicy.
