For a special treat I made some raw ice cream (chocolate and vanilla!) for Christmas. I thought surely this would be one thing the family and nephews would enjoy from my raw world.  I mean look at it!

But I guess my taste buds have changed. For the ones that tried a spoonful, I got a polite smile. One nephew who is used to eating rice milk ice cream, I figured at least his taste buds would go nuts. But alas, no. So, here it is a month later and I still have a small container of vanilla. (The chocolate was finished last night.) So cool, more for me. But gosh, they just don’t know what they’re missing.

The amazing and energetic Kevin Gianni, who cofounded Raw Summit, launches Rawkathon, Sunday, October 19, 2008. I didn’t miss Raw Summit, and Raw Summit 2 – and I won’t miss this.

Rawkathon will be a week long on-line raw food info seminar series.  Audio and video will also be available online for 24 hours only if you miss the live event. They will have 2 raw living food experts speaking each night (Sunday to Sunday). Including 2 of my favorites – Victoria Boutenko of RawFamily.com and David Rainoshek, my juicefeasting guru, of JuiceFeasting.com.

These kind of events are important to be involved with – constant education and inspiration serves you well on the raw food journey. Thats why I enjoyed the Raw Summits so much. So much fantastic information and inspirational stories. I always learn something new.
